The Essential Rifle Course is designed to provide the student with all the fundamental knowledge and skills to competently handle, operate and shoot rifles of various configurations.
This 12 hour course will cover such topics as: 
- Shooting fundamentals
- Three shooting positions
- Shooting accuracy at close and long range
- Six hours of live fire training
- Rifle and ammunition components and terminology
- Guidance on rifle selection and purchase
- Understanding rifle caliber ballistics
- Special session training on sighting in a rifle and developing accuracy
Students should bring a photo I.D. and 150 + rounds of .22 LR ammunition. If participating in Special session training, students should bring their personal rifle and ammunition.
Required : 150 rounds .22 LR ammunition, ear ( MUFF TYPE ONLY ) protection, dress for the weather, something to eat and drink, eye protection, be 15 minutes early before each session. Students are encouraged to bring their own rifles also.
